Welcome to my blog! I’m a marketing professional turned blogger, baker and volunteer. I strive to live intentionally – from stepping out of my comfort zone to doing my bit to touch lives and make a difference in this world, however small.

Between my early 20s and mid 30s, I have had the privilege to live in four different countries and like most ambitious young adults, I enjoyed the trappings of corporate travel that includes racking up passport stamps, fancy hotels and exotic meals.

This changed in 2017 when my partner Justin and I threw caution to the wind and took the plunge – we quit our jobs to travel and volunteer across the world. It’s a stonking good idea on a weekend bender but unthinkable in reality. Close to 40 countries later, I realised that the more I travel, the less I know of the world. To echo Anthony Bourdain “Maybe that’s enlightenment enough: to know that there is no final resting place of the mind; no moment of smug clarity. Perhaps wisdom is…realizing how small I am, and unwise, and how far I have yet to go”.

Wake up, go to work/school, eat, sleep and repeat. Unfortunately, some of us are alive but we are not truly living. I’m here to inspire others to live intentionally – whether it’s to travel more, take on new challenges or volunteer abroad. And along the way, be kind, show compassion and give generously 🙂 Because the world needs more kindness and compassion. Less judgement and prejudice. More doers and less talkers.

With love and gratitude,

Eemei
